Gloop Terms of Service

Welcome to Gloop (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Gloop website, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through Gloop (the "Site"), whether as a guest or a registered user.
By using the Site, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and Acceptance of Terms
1.1 Acceptance
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Gloop. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site.
1.2 Minimum Age
You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.
2. Products and Safety Warnings (Candles)
2.1 Product Descriptions
Gloop sells candles and related home fragrance items (collectively, "Products"). We make every effort to display the colors, features, specifications, and details of the Products accurately. However, we do not guarantee that the color, size, or other details will be accurate, complete, reliable, current, or free of error. Slight variations may occur due to the handmade nature of some items.
2.2 Critical Candle Safety Warning
You acknowledge that using candles involves inherent risks. By purchasing and using our Products, you agree that you have read, understand, and will follow all product warnings and usage instructions.
CRITICAL USAGE RULES:

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Burn candles only on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Trim the wick to inch before each burn.

Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Discontinue use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains to prevent cracking the container.
We are not responsible for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from the misuse of Products, failure to follow safety
warnings, or improper handling.
3. Orders, Pricing, and Payment
3.1 Order Acceptance
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our final acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason, including product availability or error in pricing/product description.
3.2 Pricing
All prices listed on the site are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed.
3.3 Payment
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the Site. We may use third-party payment Processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to handle transactions.
4. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk of Loss
4.1 Shipping Fees
Shipping and handling charges are in addition to the Product price and will be calculated at checkout.
4.2 Risk of Loss
All purchases are made pursuant to a shipment contract. The risk of loss and title for all Products pass to you upon our delivery to the shipping carrier. This means we are not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged after they are handed off to the shipping company.
4.3 Melted Products
Due to the nature of wax, Products may melt during shipping in warm weather. We are not liable for heat damage sustained during shipping.
5. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges
5.1 General Policy
Due to the nature of our handcrafted products, we only accept returns or exchanges for items that are unused and in their original packaging. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs and this will be deducted from any refund that is issued.
5.2 Process
We accept returns of unused items in their original packaging within 30 days of receipt. Please ensure the item is unused and in its original packaging to be eligible for a return. Contact us to begin this process. If approved, we will provide instructions for return. We reserve the right to deny returns if the product is not returned in its original, unused condition.
In the unlikely event that your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 14 days of purchase, providing photos and description of the defect to help us resolve this with you.
If an incorrect delivery address is entered at checkout or if a parcel goes unclaimed, the customer will need to cover postage charges for the package to be resent once it is returned to us.
6. Intellectual Property
The name Gloop, the Gloop logo, and all related names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Gloop or its affiliates or licensors. You must not use such marks without our prior written permission. All content, including images, text, and graphics on the Site, is protected by copyright and is the property of Gloop.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall Gloop, its affiliates, or their licensors, service providers, employees, agents, officers, or directors be liable for damages of any kind, under any legal theory, arising out of or in connection with your use, or inability to use, the Site or any Products purchased.
In all cases, our total liability to you for any damages arising out of or related to your purchase of a Product is limited to the purchase price of the Product you paid to us.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State/Country of the United Kingdom, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule.
